Advocating for Veterans

Didn't serve in the Armed Forces? No military background?

Did you know that Veterans are a highly diverse group of people, reflecting the full range of political, social, and cultural outlooks of the wider American society?

The following six (6) publications will be of great help to anyone who wants to help support veterans and their dependents.

In addition to the above:
Veterans Crisis Line 24 hours a day/7 days a week
The Veterans Crisis Line connects Veterans in crisis and their families and friends with trained, caring professionals. Many are Veterans themselves. Confidential help is available by phone, online chat, or texting. Call 1-800-273-8255 and press 1, or visit the website for more options.

Take the Self-Check Quiz to find out if stress might be affecting you, or someone you know. Both test options are available.

Advocating For Veterans

On the local level of King County, Washington, the Veterans Resource Guide can connect advocates with a variety of community partners in the Puget Sound region covering a range of needs and services.

The Guide is the trademarked work of Core Values Consulting; used by permission of the author (Josh Penner).
